NFL Business Connect — Your Guide to Official Vendor Status

How Nashville businesses can access the NFL's Contact for pricing procurement pipeline. Preparation starts now — 4 years before kickoff.

Field Notes

What Is NFL Business Connect

The NFL's Official Supplier Diversity Program

NFL Business Connect is the league's flagship program that connects diverse local businesses with procurement opportunities surrounding the Super Bowl. Launched to ensure host city businesses benefit directly from the event, it has become the single most powerful pipeline for small and minority-owned businesses to access NFL-grade contracts.

In each host city, 200+ businesses are vetted and matched with NFL vendors, sponsors, and event producers who need local suppliers for everything from catering to construction, security to signage.

For Nashville, with the Super Bowl arriving in February 2030, the Business Connect program is expected to open applications in late 2028 or early 2029 — but preparation begins now.

The Application Process

A five-step journey from self-assessment to official vendor status. Start at Step 1 today — don't wait for the portal to open.

Self-Assess Eligibility

Review the requirements above and honestly evaluate your business's readiness. Identify any gaps — especially around diversity certification, insurance coverage, or tax compliance — and start addressing them now.

Obtain Diversity Certification

If you don't already hold an MBE, WBE, VOSB, LGBTBE, or DOBE certification, begin the application process immediately. Certification can take 60–90 days through organizations like NMSDC, WBENC, or the VA's Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization.

Register on Host Committee Portal

When the Nashville Host Committee launches the official NFL Business Connect portal (estimated late 2028), register your business profile immediately. Early registrants typically receive priority consideration and early-access to workshops.

Complete Business Profile & Submit Documentation

Upload your diversity certification, insurance documents, tax records, capability statement, portfolio of past work, and client references. A complete, professional profile dramatically increases your chances of being matched with NFL procurement teams.

Attend Vetting Interview & Workshops

Selected businesses participate in one-on-one interviews with NFL procurement officials and attend mandatory capacity-building workshops. This is where relationships are built and contracts are won. Come prepared with your elevator pitch and capability statement.
